Nme - Ting Tings Criticise Friend For Selling Rare Copies Of Their Single

THE TING TINGS have criticised one of their former friends who has been selling rare copies of their single THAT'S NOT MY NAME online.

According to NME magazine, the ex-pal has been selling CDs of the song, which is currently number one in the UK charts, for up to £60 each.

Writing on their website, THE TING TINGS said: "Unfortunately, when we put out our first vinyl copies of 'That's Not My Name' with a friend last year for kicks, she kept some back and is now trying to sell them to you guys for £60 apiece.

They added that they have nothing to do with the sales, stating "we would never charge that money for our singles".

THAT'S NOT MY NAME reached number one in the charts on Sunday, beating queen of pop MADONNA and songstress RIHANNA to the top spot.

KATIE WHITE and JULES DE MARTINO, who make up the group, celebrated the achievement with an all-night party.

WE START NOTHING, the band's debut album is released today.
